How HYPER 2.0 Solves Complex Lighting Projects

Competence library Exceedation sales GmbH

Modern lighting projects are becoming more complex. Today, a track system is expected to do much more than power spotlights. It needs to support architectural lighting, linear light, emergency lighting, smart devices, sensors, design flexibility and project-specific requirements — all while remaining easy to plan and reliable to install.

HYPER 2.0 by A.A.G. Stucchi was developed for exactly this challenge. The system combines multiple lighting and infrastructure functions in one flexible track platform, helping customers reduce complexity and create future-ready lighting solutions.

With us, you do not just get access to a product. You get a competent project partner who supports you from the first idea to the final system solution.

The Challenge: Too Many Requirements, Too Many Interfaces

In many lighting projects, the real challenge is not the luminaire itself. The challenge is everything around it.

A project may require track lighting, linear light, emergency lighting, smart controls, sensors, PA speaker integration and a clean architectural appearance. When these requirements are solved with separate systems, planning becomes more complicated. Interfaces multiply, compatibility has to be checked manually, installation becomes more demanding and the risk of mistakes increases.

For planners, architects, installers and end customers, this often leads to the same questions: Which components work together? How can emergency lighting be integrated? How can smart devices be added without creating a separate infrastructure? And how can the system remain visually clean and adaptable?

HYPER 2.0 solves this problem by combining multiple functions within one coordinated track system.

What Is HYPER 2.0?

HYPER 2.0 is a new main-voltage track system designed to expand what a track infrastructure can do. The system is based on an 11-conductor architecture and uses separate upper and lower sectors to integrate different technical functions inside one track platform.

The upper sector can be used for emergency lighting, 100V PA speakers and customized solutions, while the lower sector supports the core track functions, including smart applications through DATABUS. This structure makes HYPER 2.0 suitable for projects where lighting, control, safety and design have to work together.

Instead of treating every requirement as a separate system, HYPER 2.0 creates one technical foundation for a wide range of applications.

What Is New?

HYPER 2.0 brings several important innovations into one system. The focus is not only on adding more functions, but on making complex lighting projects easier to plan, configure and implement.

Key innovations include:

For customers, this means one system can support many different project requirements — from functional lighting to architectural design concepts.

One System. Multiple Possibilities.

The typical project problem

Modern lighting projects often require several functions at once: spotlights, linear light, emergency lighting, sensors, smart control and sometimes even PA speaker integration. If every function is planned separately, the project quickly becomes difficult to coordinate. More systems mean more interfaces, more installation effort and more risk during implementation.

Design requirements are also becoming more demanding. In some spaces, the track should be almost invisible. In others, it should become part of the architectural concept. A standard system often cannot provide this level of flexibility.

Future adaptability is another major challenge. Lighting systems should be maintainable, upgradeable and suitable for changing project requirements over time.

How HYPER 2.0 solves it

HYPER 2.0 brings these requirements together in one flexible track platform. Its 11-conductor architecture allows different functions to be integrated inside the same system. This reduces complexity, simplifies planning and helps create a more reliable technical foundation for the entire project.

With HYPER Soul, HYPER Shape and HYPER Style, the system offers three design approaches for different applications. Customers can choose between a clean technical look, seamless architectural integration or a more expressive customized design solution.

The modular Light Engine allows individual components such as LED board, driver, optics and mechanical parts to be replaced without exchanging the complete luminaire. This supports easier maintenance, longer service life and a more sustainable lighting solution.

Three Versions for Different Project Needs

HYPER Soul is designed for functional spaces where clean lines, technical clarity and essential design are the priority. It is ideal for offices, commercial areas and projects where the system should provide strong technical performance with a reduced visual appearance.
It is the right choice when the lighting infrastructure needs to be efficient, structured and reliable without becoming visually dominant.

HYPER Shape is made for architectural settings where seamless integration is important. The system uses one-piece tracks and can be implemented in standard or custom shapes. It is available in white or black and works especially well in spaces where the track should blend into the ceiling design.
This makes HYPER Shape a strong option for architects and planners who need a clean visual result without compromising technical functionality.

HYPER Style is the design-oriented version of the system. It allows built-up tracks to be customized in shape and colour, giving designers more creative freedom while keeping the same technical base.
This version is ideal for projects where the track is not only a technical element, but part of the visual identity of the space.

Light Engine: Modular, Flexible and Future-Ready

The Light Engine is built with a modular structure. Individual components such as the LED board, driver, optics or mechanical parts can be replaced separately without changing the entire luminaire.

This makes maintenance and future upgrades easier, extends the system’s service life and supports consistent lighting quality across different A.A.G. Stucchi systems.

Customization Without Technical Compromise

In the HYPER Shape and HYPER Style versions, HYPER 2.0 offers individual design options for both the track and the Light Engine. Shape, colour and finish can be adapted to the project, while the mechanical and electrical base remains unchanged. This creates design freedom without losing system reliability.
