Our client Beandou Corporation contacted us to develop the lighting control system of Venezuela's Pavilion façade for World Expo 2020 Dubai, the biggest event for innovation, technology, culture, architecture, and art in the world that was postponed to 2021.
Built as a tribute to the late Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez –a major protagonist in the field of Kinetic and Optical Art and one of the key 20th-century thinkers in the realm of color– and designed by architect Wanders Werner Falasi, the pavilion's façade is dressed with lots of slats that create a waveform and that can be controlled dynamically using our all-in-one lighting platform.
From the content point of view, the mapping of the fixtures is designed transversal across all 4 façade sides so that one can create linear effects such as the waveform.
